Even the beautiful of roses have
thorns. Life only guarantees each moment, the present moment. It does not
clearly guarantee the future. The hope for future belongs to the believers.
Life is full of ups and downs.
Today, one is exceedingly happy, and tomorrow, the same person is extremely
sad, distraught and terribly disappointed.
Now with clarity, I can recall what
my Dad had once taught me about the best prepared man; ‘that it is He is who is
always prepared to handle life’s kicks. That one should always have the
knowledge that something called misfortune exist in this world.’ He went
further to explain that ‘the hidden secret in this life is the knowledge that
happiness and grief dwell under the same life’s roof. They are two siblings who
more often rival each other in testing their supremacy and dominance in the
world.
Decide on what you want to
achieve in this life then put an action to it.
Then just like The Alchemist,
the whole universe will always conspire in your favour. Always be prepared for
the inevitable that each day presents. Anyway, we will not be here forever.
